This very dark honey comes from the Candlestick Banksia (Banksia attenuata), which is one of the main banksia species in the Banksia Woodlands of the Swan Coastal Plain. Once widespread, this ecosystem is now listed as threatened due to land clearing.
A rare opportunity as this species rarely produces enough nectar for honey (but provides LOTS of seeds for Carnaby’s Cockatoos to eat!).
The honey is strong and bold flavoured with an aftertaste reminiscent of salted caramel.
Available online in 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg plastic jars. Or from our stockists in Maylands and Pickering Brook.
Don't forget about of Trees for Bees initiative - every kilo of honey sold means one tree is planted!
