This very unique honey comes from the Swamp Fox Banksia (Banksia telmatiaea). This banksia is one of a very few species that have specialised in marsupial pollination - the flowers are low to the ground and on the inside of the bush rather than the outside.
The nectar has a different smell (is one of only 6 species that produce green-coloured nectar!) and the honey is dark and VERY bold on the palette!
